Camp Kindle's ~ heartART!
Camp Kindle provides a weeklong camp for children who are infected or affected by HIV/AIDS. These camps offer many deserving children the opportunity to be encouraged and accepted, build leadership skills, have their character strengths recognized, while creating lasting memories and friendships. A week at camp costs $1000! Camp Kindle is offered cost-free to the campers and their families (this includes the cost of transportation to and from camp). Everyone who attends Camp Kindle leaves feeling a little more whole, with many new friends, and a sense that Camp Kindle is the greatest place on earth.
The artwork you can view below is called heartART and shows HIV/AIDS through the eyes and the artistic expression of a child at Camp Kindle. The minnow PROJECT enhances the child’s original artwork with digitally enhanced colors, a professional matte, and by adding an unforgettable title. The synergy allows Camp Kindle and the heartART program to celebrate children’s self-expression through their artwork. The result is this amazing art, which is truly creative, insightful, and honest.
